Cloud/DevOps Engineer

Job description

• Design, deploy and operate large Kubernetes clusters on private clouds and cloud provider infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and apply a GitOps model to deployments.
• Build monitoring, logging and alerting, and take part in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines to shorten the path from commit to production.
• Contribute to cost optimisation, capacity planning and architecture reviews for cloud migration programmes.
• Write runbooks and share operational knowledge with client teams.
• Work with the Cybersecurity division to ensure infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in systems operations or DevOps.
• Strong Linux, networking and production Kubernetes skills.
• Experience with Terraform or a similar infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Ability to write automation scripts in Bash, Python or Go.
• A Kubernetes administration or cloud certification is a plus.
• Understanding of security best practices for containers and cloud networking.
• A calm, structured approach to troubleshooting under pressure.
