Zentrova opens a new campus for its Da Nang delivery centre

On 20 October 2026, Zentrova Technologies officially opened the new campus of its Da Nang delivery centre. The 9,000 m² building, with 1,200 workstations, 40 meeting rooms and a client experience centre, marks Zentrova's largest expansion in central Vietnam since it arrived in the city in 2016.

Twice the capacity, the same standards

Over the past decade, Zentrova Da Nang has grown from a team of 30 engineers into a centre of more than 600 people serving clients in Japan, Singapore and Europe. The new campus allows the centre to double in size over the next three years without splitting teams across multiple sites.

The space is designed around self-contained project pods: every floor has a shared work area, focus rooms and a dedicated testing zone. Network infrastructure and access control were built to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements, making the campus ready for high-security engagements in financial services and healthcare.

Three areas of focus

Enterprise software engineering: building digital banking, e-commerce and core platforms for long-standing clients.
Data and AI: a generative AI applied lab of 80 engineers, working hand in hand with the Data & AI division in Hanoi.

Rooted in the local community

Alongside the expansion, Zentrova Da Nang has signed long-term internship agreements with universities in the region and expects to welcome 150 students every year. The Zentrova Academy programme will also run free courses in cloud computing and software development for young people in central Vietnam.

At Zentrova Tech Day 2026, held in Hanoi on 8 October, Zentrova officially unveiled Zentrova Nexus, a data integration and workflow automation platform for mid-sized and large enterprises. The product is the result of more than two years of research and draws on over 120 integration projects the team has delivered for clients in Vietnam and abroad.

The problem enterprises face

Most organisations now run dozens of separate systems: accounting software, ERP, CRM, logistics tools, mobile apps and countless spreadsheets. Every new initiative tends to spend months simply connecting data, and even then data quality is far from guaranteed. This is also the biggest obstacle when businesses try to bring AI into day-to-day operations.

Key capabilities

More than 200 prebuilt connectors for common business systems, databases and message queues.
Drag-and-drop workflow design with multi-level approvals, exception handling and a complete audit trail.
A unified data layer that standardises, deduplicates and monitors data quality in real time.

Results from the pilot programme

During a nine-month pilot, Nexus was rolled out to six clients in retail, manufacturing and financial services. The average time needed to build a new integration flow fell from six weeks to three and a half, and data errors between systems dropped by 62%.

Board of Directors approves the Zentrova 2030 strategy

On 26 September 2026, the Board of Directors of Zentrova Technologies held an extended session at the Hanoi headquarters and approved the company's development strategy for 2026–2030. It is the third long-term plan in Zentrova's history, following the 2015–2020 phase focused on building software delivery capability and the 2021–2025 phase of international expansion.

Five headline targets

Reach a workforce of 5,000 engineers by 2030, almost double today's size.
Grow revenue by an average of 25% a year, with 60% coming from markets outside Vietnam.
Raise the share of revenue from data, AI and cybersecurity to 35%.
Serve 600 clients across 25 countries.
Keep attrition below 12% and client satisfaction above 4.6 out of 5.

From outsourcing to co-creation

At the heart of the strategy is a shift in business model, from supplying engineering capacity to co-creating products and solutions with clients. Zentrova will invest more heavily in its own platforms, such as Zentrova Nexus, and build industry consulting teams for banking, insurance, manufacturing and retail.

Investing in people

The Board agreed to allocate 5% of annual revenue to training and research. Every engineer will receive at least 80 hours of learning each year, with certification tracks in cloud computing, data, AI and security. The employee share programme will also be extended to team lead level.

A wider footprint

In addition to its six existing centres, Zentrova plans to open offices in North America and Australia before 2029, and is studying a fourth delivery centre in Vietnam to tap into talent in fast-growing cities.

Governance and sustainability

The strategy also sets out commitments on transparent governance and sustainability: publishing an annual sustainability report, moving 70% of internal infrastructure to renewable energy, and keeping the proportion of women in management at 40% or higher. Zentrova completes a private cloud region for a financial group

Zentrova's Cloud division has handed over a private cloud region to one of Vietnam's leading financial groups. The 14-month programme brought together 95 engineers from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is among the largest infrastructure projects Zentrova has ever delivered.

Background

The client was running more than 300 applications on traditional server infrastructure, many of them over a decade old. Scaling up for each new product took two to three months, while requirements for data residency and availability kept getting stricter. The group needed a platform as flexible as a public cloud provider, with data remaining entirely inside its own data centres.

The solution

An active-active architecture across two data centres, keeping recovery time under 15 minutes in the event of an incident.
A Kubernetes container platform of more than 1,800 nodes, centrally managed and automatically scaled to demand.
A self-service portal that lets development teams spin up new environments in 20 minutes instead of several weeks.
Infrastructure as code: every configuration is versioned, reviewed and deployed through a CI/CD pipeline.
Defence in depth with micro-segmentation, data encryption and continuous security monitoring.

Migration without disruption

The biggest challenge was moving 320 applications without affecting transactions for millions of customers. The team grouped the applications into 12 waves by criticality, ran the old and new environments side by side during the transition, and scheduled cut-overs for off-peak hours. The entire migration was completed without a single major incident. Business teams were kept informed at every stage, which built confidence across the organisation.

Outcomes

Three months after go-live, the client's infrastructure costs are down 28% and server utilisation has risen from 22% to 65%. Time to market for a new feature has fallen from two months to two weeks.

Zentrova signs a strategic partnership with a Japanese technology group

On 29 August 2026 in Tokyo, Zentrova Technologies and a major Japanese IT group signed a five-year strategic partnership agreement. The deal is a milestone for Zentrova after more than ten years of serving clients in Japan, a market that now accounts for around 38% of the company's revenue.

Scope of the partnership

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly deliver system modernisation programmes for manufacturers, banks and insurers in Japan. Zentrova has committed to a dedicated team of 500 engineers by 2028, based in Hanoi, Da Nang and the Tokyo office.

Legacy modernisation: rebuilding core applications written in older languages on a microservices architecture.
Cloud migration: assessing, designing and executing moves to hybrid cloud infrastructure.
AI-assisted testing: using large language models to generate test cases and analyse source code.

A joint centre of excellence

The partners will set up a joint centre of excellence in Hanoi dedicated to AI-assisted legacy transformation methods. The centre is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027 with 60 specialists, including Japanese engineers working side by side with the Vietnamese team.

Growing the bridge team

To support the scale of the partnership, Zentrova will expand its team of bridge engineers and technical interpreters from 70 to 150 people. Internal Japanese language training will also be stepped up, with the goal of 1,000 engineers reaching business-level proficiency by 2028.

The partnership supports Zentrova's goal of generating 60% of total revenue from international markets by 2030. Zentrova Hackathon 2026: 48 hours, 62 teams and a first wave of AI products

Over the weekend of 14–16 August 2026, the eighth Zentrova Hackathon took place simultaneously in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, with colleagues in Tokyo, Singapore and Munich joining online. Under the theme “AI for real work”, the event drew 62 teams and more than 300 engineers, designers and business analysts.

The rules

Each team had 48 hours to turn a genuine problem, faced either by a client or by Zentrova itself, into a working product. Teams were given access to the internal large language model platform, an anonymised sample data lake and a Kubernetes sandbox. A jury of engineering leaders and several client representatives judged entries on business value, technical quality and feasibility.

The three winners

First prize – CodeLens: an assistant that reads legacy code and automatically produces documentation and architecture diagrams for systems with millions of lines. In a trial on a live project, onboarding time for new engineers fell from three weeks to five days.
Second prize – ClaimFlow: a solution that reads and classifies insurance claims, extracting information from photographed documents with 94% accuracy.
Third prize – ShiftMate: a shift-planning tool for factories that combines optimisation with demand forecasting models.

From idea to product

Unlike previous years, the three winning teams receive more than a trophy. They are given a budget and six months of full-time work to develop their products in Zentrova Labs, the company's internal incubator. CodeLens is expected to become part of Zentrova's project onboarding process from the fourth quarter of 2026.

What impressed me most was that the teams did not chase technology for its own sake. They started from real user pain points, and that is exactly the mindset we want to spread across the company.

A culture of innovation

The hackathon is one of several initiatives that nurture a culture of experimentation at Zentrova, alongside a monthly innovation day and an employee idea fund. Since 2019, eleven internal products have come out of the hackathon, and four of them are now used by clients.

Generative AI in the enterprise: from experiments to real value

Over the past two years, almost every organisation has experimented with generative AI: an internal chatbot, a document summariser or a writing assistant. Yet according to Zentrova's Data & AI division, only around a third of pilots actually reach production and deliver measurable value. So what makes the difference?

Lesson 1: Start from the process, not the model

Successful projects always begin with a specific process that is expensive or time-consuming, such as credit application handling, support requests or recurring reports. When the goal is quantified from the outset, choosing the right model and architecture becomes far more straightforward.

Lesson 2: Data determines quality

Large language models only perform well when they are given the right context. Most of the effort in our projects goes into cleaning, permissioning and organising the enterprise knowledge base so that retrieval-augmented generation can work. A messy document store produces messy answers, however capable the model.

Lesson 3: Measure and govern continuously

Build a standard evaluation set before go-live and rerun it after every change.
Track the rate of incorrect answers, the cost per request and response times.
Give users a quick way to flag results that are not accurate.
Apply sensitive-data filtering and log every interaction.

Lesson 4: People remain at the centre

Generative AI works best as an assistant that helps employees work faster and more accurately, rather than as a full replacement. Projects with a structured user training programme see adoption rates three times higher than those that simply hand over a tool.

The question is no longer whether to use generative AI, but where to use it to create the greatest value with risks kept under control.

A suggested roadmap

We recommend a three-step approach: pick two or three high-value processes and pilot them over eight to ten weeks; build a shared data foundation and AI governance framework; then scale gradually to other departments. This keeps costs under control and builds internal confidence before any large-scale investment. A short pilot with a clear success metric is usually worth more than a long list of ideas.

Ransomware in 2026: new trends and how businesses can protect themselves

Incidents handled by Zentrova's Security Operations Centre in the first half of the year show that attackers are changing tactics quickly, leaving traditional defences no longer sufficient on their own. Below we summarise what we are seeing and the steps we recommend every organisation take now.

Four trends to watch

1. Multi-layered extortion

Attackers no longer just encrypt data. They also steal it, threaten to publish customer information and even contact the victim's partners directly to increase pressure.

2. Supply chain attacks

Rather than targeting large enterprises head-on, attackers get in through software suppliers, maintenance contractors or remote management tools with broad access rights.

3. Going after backups

Many attacks begin by locating and deleting backups before the ransomware is triggered, leaving the victim with no way to recover. In several cases, backup consoles had been left without multi-factor authentication.

4. AI-assisted attacks

AI-written phishing emails are increasingly natural and hard to spot, including in Vietnamese. The time between initial intrusion and data encryption has shrunk to a matter of hours.

Six priority measures

Multi-factor authentication on every admin account, remote access channel and mailbox.
3-2-1 backups, with at least one immutable or offline copy.
Network segmentation to limit how far an infection can spread from a single compromised machine.
Disciplined patch management, prioritising edge devices and internet-facing systems.
Continuous monitoring with endpoint detection and response, backed by a 24/7 security operations centre.
Regular incident response drills, including full system restores from backup.

No business can stop every attack, but every business can decide how quickly it will recover.
